Self-adhesive or self seal closures for envelopes, pockets and letterheads use a two-component glue. Only when both components are brought together do the components react with each other and the glue sticks. One adhesive bar is applied to the flap of the envelope, the second adhesive bar is on the back of the envelope. Only when the flap is folded over and pressed onto the back is the envelope sealed.
