Formats, sizes, closure types and labeling of envelopes

How to label an envelope?

  • Labeling envelopes by hand: It is best to label an envelope clearly in the middle with the recipient's address. The sender's address should be at the top left. Use dark, smudge-proof pens and leave enough space for the stamp at the top right.

  • Label envelopes with a printer: If you want to use a printer, insert the envelope according to the marking in the feeder and select the appropriate envelope format in the print menu.

Make sure that the recipient address is in the middle and the sender address is at the top left . Before printing, check the alignment in the preview and, if necessary, test an envelope to avoid misprints.

  • DIN C6 (16.2 x 11.4 cm): Ideal for handwritten, private letters, invitation cards and DIN A5 double cards

  • DIN C5 (16.2 x 22.9 cm): For large greetings cards and simple DIN A4 documents

  • DIN C4 (22.9 x 32.4 cm): Perfect for important documents that should not be folded, such as certificates and diplomas.
