Abbreviations
DIN long
DIN long is the colloquial term for several similar formats for envelopes that were originally intended for use with A4 letterheads folded double crosswise, as well as for other insert formats suitable for these envelopes.
Standardized according to DIN are

- C5/C6: 114 x 229 mm
- the paper format 1/3A4: 99 x 210 mm
- the folding of A4 letterhead for window envelopes DL or C5/C6: 105 x 210 mm

FSC
FSC: The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international non-profit organization. (stewardship = responsibility; stewardship). The Council created, operates and develops the first system for the certification of sustainable forest management. PEFC
The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes ( PEFC) is an international forest certification system. It is the world's largest independent organization for ensuring and continuously improving sustainable forest management while guaranteeing ecological, social and economic standards. VOC
VOC: The abbreviation VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) refers to the group of volatile organic compounds.
VOCs describe gaseous and vaporous substances of organic origin in the air. These include, for example, hydrocarbons, alcohols, aldehydes and organic acids.
Many solvents, liquid fuels and synthetically produced substances can occur as VOCs, but also numerous organic compounds that are formed in biological processes.

Technical terms: Material
Cardboard box
Cardboard is a material made from cellulose, groundwood pulp and waste paper that is used in printing plants, the packaging industry, the graphics industry and the arts and crafts sector, among others. It is essentially paper with a greater thickness.
Cardboard consists of several layers of paper of different thicknesses and sometimes of different materials, which are pressed together (glued) without the use of glue. The grammage of cardboard is between 150 and 600 g/m2, so that the material can be classified as both paper and cardboard.

What is kraft paper?
Kraft paper is the type of paper with the highest strength. The paper consists of 100% cellulose fibers to which starch, alum and glue are added.
Kraft paper is suitable for the production of paper sacks, for example, as it is the only paper that can withstand the high filling weights.

Baking soda paper
Caustic soda paper is a ribbed packaging paper that is predominantly smooth on one side and is produced using sulphate pulp.
A distinction is made between soda kraft paper, which is made from 100% sulphate pulp, and soda mixed paper, in the manufacture of which certain proportions of waste paper are used

What is tissue paper?
Tissue paper is a very thin, soft paper that is used for wrapping, padding or decorating. It protects delicate goods from scratches and gives gifts a high-quality look.
It is made from finely ground cellulose, which is processed into particularly smooth and even paper webs. In our range, tissue paper is made from pure paper, is bleached without chlorine and is fully recyclable.
Tissue paper is also often referred to as wrapping paper, packing tissue or tissue paper.
